  • Can The Roadmaster Invisibrake Be Installed In The Rear Compartment Of A 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler
I spoke with Brad, one of our installers here that's done quite a few Invisbrake installs, and he stated that box under the front driver seat is tucked in further than you'd think so you'd have to purposefully kick it and it wouldn't be an accident. That being said, it is possible to mount the compressor box in the back of your Wrangler but you'll most likely need to get some additional 1/4" nylon vacuum line to go from the box to the brake booster in the engine compartment and also some...

  • How To Remove Cracked Sealant From An RV Skylight
Having firsthand experience with removing old sealant I can tell you without a doubt that it's a giant pain. You'll want to pick up some composite trim tools # PT73HJ to pry the sealant off of the roof membrane. You'll take the flat end of one of the tools and scrape towards the skylight being careful not to pull on the roof membrane and tear it. This will take a bunch of time and patience. I typically press up against the sealant and try to rock the tool side to side to help cut through...

  • Recommended Remote Controlled RV Roof Vent For A 2021 Forest River Vibe 34BH
We do carry remote controlled vent options that will most likely fit your 2021 Forest River Vibe 34BH but you'll want to doublecheck the size of the cutout hole just to confirm fitment since there are a few outliers out there that use a slightly small vent than the standard, which is 14" x 14". You'll want to just remove the inner trim piece to measure the cutout hole and confirm that it is 14" x 14" in order to fit a new vent. If it's not wide enough you can also enlarge the hole to make...

  • Can You Apply New Sealant to a Roof Directly Over Old Sealant & Removal of Old Sealant
If the old sealant only has minor cracks you can use a sealant like the LaSalle Bristol XTRM Universal Self-Leveling Sealant # 34427034145-1 which is a little easier to work with than the Alpha Systems 1021 Self-Leveling Sealant for RVs # AL98KV. You need to keep in mind that adding sealant over sealant is just a quick fix and most likely temporary. You are better off getting the old sealant off and then applying the new sealant. Getting the old sealant off isn't incredibly difficult,...

  • How To Reseal RV Window Trim
To reseal the window trim you'll want to first clean off the old sealant with some composite tools # PT73HJ (to prevent scratches to the trailer wall). Once the old sealant is removed you can clean the surface with some rubbing alcohol and then apply some non-sag sealant # 344270341437-1.

  • Installation of Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Harness 118467 on a 2017 Subaru Outback
I have included a link to a video below that shows trailer wiring harness # 118467 being installed on a 2017 Subaru Outback. The video shows you where to plug in the harness. The tool our installer uses to remove trim panels is the appropriately named trim panel remover tool # ALL648544. We also have a set with multiple tools, # PT73HJ, you can use to safely remove panels.

  • Trouble Removing Front Fascia on a New 2024 Chevy Equinox To Install Blue OX Base Plate
What you are experiencing is not all that uncommon. New vehicles like your 2024 Chevrolet Equinox can be rather difficult to remove some of the parts as all the clips are very stiff with the vehicle being brand new. And depending on your area and the weather it can be made more difficult in the cold. As Brad demonstrates on the install video for the Blue Ox Base Plate # BX1730 linked below he does also use some soapy water sprayed into the fascia parts to help release the clips behind the...

  • Where Can I Get a Trim Panel Remover Tool to Install Trailer Wiring on a 2013 Honda CR-V

  • Replacement Unit For A Furrion FWH09AFA RV Tankless Water Heater
The FWH09AFA just refers to the main unit of the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR93FR, not including the access door. Realistically if the unit is the only problem then I would just only order it and reuse your current access door. You'll have to scrape off the sealant and butyl tape that was used to secure the door and unit to the trailer. I typically use some composite pry tools # PT73HJ to scrape this off without scratching the wall of the trailer and ruining the paint job. You'll...

There are a couple of places that you will plug into when installing trailer wiring harness # 118518 on a 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander. The connection in the back is best accessed by removing the panel forward of the jack storage compartment like our installers show in the video I have linked for you to the right. The harness at the front of the vehicle is best accessed by moving the battery out of the way. This is also covered in the video. The panels in the back can also be temporarily...

  • Is The Installation/Replacement Of A Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent Easy To Complete
The hardest part of replacing a roof vent is definitely removing the old sealant. You'll want to use some composite tools, like part # PT73HJ, to carefully pry up the sealant without ripping up the roof membrane. You won't get all of it off but will be able to get a majority. Once you're done prying up the sealant you can wipe down the area with some rubbing alcohol to clean and prep it for new sealant. The Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # FV802250 will come with...

The Roadmaster XL base plates # 920-1 are a fit for your 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon and the Stowmaster tow bar # RM-501. The Tow bar does fold up and store on the tow vehicle. There are no speed restrictions when the tow bar is folded up but it wouldn't take much just to remove the tow bar to avoid any unforeseen issues. The fasteners on your Outback appear to be push-in fasteners. There is a special tool you can use to make removing them easy, # PT73HJ. You will also need safety cables,...

  • Do I Have To Remove The Bumper To Install The Eco Hitch EH34FR On A 2023 Outback?
You are correct in that the rear bumper will need to be completely removed to install the Eco Hitch # EH34FR on a 2023 Subaru Outback Wagon. While I do not consider this an "easy" step, it can certainly be done. I recommend getting a trim tool kit like # PT73HJ. This should make the job easier and will help prevent damage to the paint or finish. I have linked our install video below if you want to take a closer look at the process. That said, if you are not comfortable doing that kind...

All of our window trim kits have screws. It is likely your window has uses an adhesive to secure your window in place since you don't see any screws. I recommend using the Performance Tool Pry Tool Set # PT73HJ to give you soft and hard nylon prying options so you don't scratch your door surface. I've have someone help secure the window from the opposite side so you don't drop it when the frame comes loose. Then you can use the Lippert Components Replacement Window Frame with Seal...

  • Tool used to Remove the Rivets that Hold the Taillight Assembly on a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan
That handy-dandy tool you see in the videos is a trim panel tool. We have # PT73HJ as an option that you could use. I advise against using vice grips as it will tear up the pins. You could use a smaller claw hammer if available. A very small pry bar (crow bar) could work as well. I suppose you could wedge two spoons under it and pry it out that way. Depending on how tight they are you might bend the spoons. If you had a very flat wrench it might work the same as the trim panel tool.

  • 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Trailer Brake Controller Installation
Vehicle passenger compartment plastic trim panels, like the dash panel on your Trailhawk that comes off to give you access to the brake controller port, usually have tabs that fit into slots or metal fasteners, in addition to the visible retaining screw. Once the visible fasteners are removed it may still require a bit of force to release the panel, especially on a brand new vehicle. Often a trim panel tool set like # PT73HJ can help loosen things up. These plastic tools will be less...

The instructions which I have linked for you state to unbolt the fascia tabs from the body. If they are true bolts then using the appropriate wrench would suffice. If they are more like clips I recommend a trim panel remover tool such as # PT73HJ to gently pry tabs.
